This is one of the more unusual points of interest along or near Route 66 in IL. It is an 1835/36 unrestored, but relocated and sheltered, two-story log cabin. Originally this was a stage coach stop located a few miles southeast of Carlinville in the informal community of Weatherford's Prairie. The building was disassembled in 1998 and later reassembled here..
