Thomas Vineyard
8916 Foothills Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Phone:
The Thomas Vineyard was established in 1839 by Tiburcio Tapia and it is California's
oldest winery. In 1859 the third owner, John Rains, planted 125,000 grapevines,
replacing graze land. The vineyard changed hands several times over the
years. In 1969 there was a huge flood that inflicted serious damage to
the buildings. In the mid 1980s the property was sold to a retail developer
and the winery closed. The building, designated California historic landmark
No. 490.
Today the building houses various cafes.

I
think the old distillery tower is the tall section on the left in this
photo.
This
wagon is on display along the drive.
