The little El Carlos motel eventually became part of the Topper Motel, but when? That's still a mystery to me. It was still the El Carlos well into the 60s. When this photo was snapped in 2017 it was more of a longer term residential part of the Topper Motel.

The 1959/60 AAA Tourbook listed the motel as being inviting, well operated and nicely furnished and comfortable with 7 air-cooled guest rooms each with a shower. The daily rates ranged from $5.00 to $8.00.
