Starlite Motel

1800 W. 3rd St., Winslow, AZ

East < GO > West

The little 1952 Starlite Motel facing W. 2nd Street sits near the point where 2nd and 3rd streets merge in west Winslow. In 1952 2nd Street in Winslow became one way esstbound and 3rd Street became one way westbound. By 2015 it looks like some units were combined to make larger long term apartments but enough of the old styling remains to make it an interesting building.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
