1924 Walnut Canyon Creek Bridge

According to the National Register of Historic Places this bridge was called the Walnut Canyon Bridge and was completed in June 1924. It is also known as the Walnut Creek Bridge.

It is located just off I-40, exit 211 on the Pre-1947 alignment also known as Townsend-Winona Rd.

The main span of the bridge is 101 feet long with a 19 foot wide roadbed. It was built to carry traffic on the Flagstaff-Winslow Highway (later Route 66) over Walnut Creek one mile north of Winona. The bridge has been preserved but bypassed and is not open to traffic.

It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
