Valentine Station is the latest incarnation of this old gas station along Route 66 in Valentine Arizona. When we first saw this place it looked like it had seen better days so the reopening as a gift shop is good news. It may have been built in the 40s or 50s. Judging by the size of the building and the number of windows along the front I wonder if it was also a cafe.

The Great Western was behind a fence in 2015, but the sign was still looking pretty good. I have no idea what the "Great Western" was.

The Great Western and another building next to the garage above. I haven't tracked down any more info about these buildings.
