The Chief's Motel is on old 66 west of Valentine and just before the Union 76 station. It looks like the motel consisted of a pair of three unit buildings. These look like they might be 1950-60s buildings.

The sign is barely readable as it peeks up above a tree near the road. But it is still about the best clue that you are about to pass the motel, so keep an eye out for it.

You can still see a faded image of an Indian Chief in a war bonnet or ceremonial headdress in the upper corner of the sign.
