This building on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Floyd Street was the original location of the Seligman Garage, it was built in 1905 by Guy Sykes. It also served as a gas station and bus stop for years.

In the mid 1920s they sold Red Crown Gasoline and Michelin "Balloon Comfort Cords" tires. You could also buy a Kelvinatore refrigerator here in the 20s. By 1927 you could by a new Chrysler here. 1928 provided the opportunity to pick up an Atwater-Kent Radio for the house while shopping for that Chrysler.

It is part of the National Register of Historic Places: Seligman Historic District listing and on the walking tour.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
