The former 1946 Pica Motel also once included a the small motel, a cafe, and a gas station. The gas station and cafe made it a thriving truck stop about 18 miles west of Seligman. I don't know when the business closed, but it was offered for sale or rent in 1967 by H. H. Wofford, a long time owner.

The The small motel is on the east end of the property.

The The cafe building is in the middle of the property.

The The station is on the west side of the property and is pretty much boarded up now.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
