The Deluxe Inn Motel opened as the Court Deluxe in 1932. The motel and the former residence next-door were built by Franks Campbell. At some point Mr. and Mrs. Vic Banks became the owners of the property and in 1955 they sold it to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Larson.

x A sign on the building proudly declares that this is a Route 66 Historic Landmark with WiFi and direct dial phones, those last two kind of illustrate the progress of technology through the years. The building is included in the National Register of Historic Places: Seligman Historic District and is also on the Seligman Walking Tour.

This building immediately east of the motel was built by Frank Campbell in the mid-1950s, a few yeas before he built the motel next-door. It was a residence for 41 years according to the Seligman Historic walking Tour. It appears to have had an awning or porch roof that has been removed from the front of the building.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
