To get to the twin tunnels under I-40 take the south frontage road about 5.3 miles from Lupton. That's a bit west of the I-40 Exit 354 interchange west of Lupton. Then take twin tunnels under I-40 to the north frontage road (1931 Route 66 alignment) and go west to exit 351, the Allentown exit. The pre-1931 Route 66 is under I-40 from about where the tunnels are to Exit 351. As always with tunnels under I-40 watch out for flooding and soft mud in current or recent rainy weather.
