The 18 room Brad's Motel opened in 1960 or 61 and later became Brad's Desert Inn. It's another of the many motels that sprang up in the 50's and 60's to serve the Route 66 traveler.

xThe signs features a palm leaves above the word Desert. It also mentions DD Pho(nes?) Cable and Non Smok(ing?) Rooms. Probably aimed more at the long term rental housing market.
