The south frontage road, Bellemont Camp Road, going west from I-40 Exit
185 is the 1941 to 1963 alignment and led to the earlier 1926 to 1941
alignment. This road ends a short distance from this intersection. There
are no significant landmarks left on this section of the road. The alignments
on the south side of I-40 were part of those built to avoid the climb
in elevation that the road took going around Fortynine Hill.
