his is the largest city on Route 66 between Chicago and Los Angeles. Route 66 through town takes you past the Arch and Ted Drewes. Otherwise it's easier to take the later route along 1-270 and US 67/61 and backtrack to Ted Drewes before heading west on 100 or I-44.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
