You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
The original five service window stand was later expanded to twelve
service windows. From the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve
you can buy a Christmas tree here. There is no inside seating here,
just outdoor walk up order windows. There may be a few park benches
along the adjacent Prather Avenue otherwise be prepared to eat in your
car or stand around on the sidewalk while enjoying your frozen custard.
