The Conway School that was erected in 1930. The cornerstone says that Berry & Hatch were the architects and Hood & Nolen were the contractors. After a consolidation with the Panhandle ISD, this old school building was used as a community center. The school held 10 classrooms and cost 18,000.00 to build.

The building is located on the short section of Hwy 207 between the 1926 and the 1970s -1985 alignments of Route 66 on I-40.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
