At various times this was a Shell and Texaco gas station and garage that didn't make it, even with freeway access, two motels and two cafes next door. It was reopened as the Route 66 Budget Fuel station, and failed again. Give someone credit for trying though.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
