East < GO > West

Bradley Kiser built his 66 Super Service Station in 1930 and it is being maintained by the Texas Historic Route 66 Association. Lettering on the edge of the canopies reads "66 Super Service Station" This is one of the more popular photo stops along the Mother Road in Texas. There is a Texaco gas pump out front as well as a bulk oil dispenser. The pump is displaying a price of $1.19 per gallon.

xA separate building on the west side of the station contains two service bays used for car repairs.

A peek through the window reveals and old roll top desk, a tire mounted on a wire spoke wheel, the door to the men's room and a console style TV that looks like it might be from the 1970s or 80s.

The canopy on the east side of the building uses the same style support column as used in front. There's another Texaco pump and bulk oil dispenser on this island.

Behind the station on the south side is a large garage with a checkerboard style Merit Feed & Seed sign on the north side. It is located around the corner at 3rd and Main.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
