The Little Cabin Creek Bridge just east of Vinita is a Camelback Pony
Truss structure. It is closed to traffic because of frequent flooding,
but a new bridge was completed in 2011 right next it. It is located on
Route 66 (US 60/US69) just east of Vinita. The old bridge has a total
length of 388 feet with a deck width of 24 feet. The longest total span
was a bit more than 95 feet.
The Oklahoma Historic Bridge Survey reports it being built 1934 -1935
and the contractors as Nims & Frost. This is an area where the Little
Cabin Pecan Company has a number of groves. The bridge was added to
the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
