In 1991, Oklahoma artist Nick Calcagno and local artists painted the "Visual Reflections" mural on the east side of the Osborne Drug building. The mural highlights local historical figures, Miami founder, Wayland C. Lykins and a local icon "The Chief" newspaper. That mural perished when the 1918 wall it was painted on had to replaced due to age and weather related damage.

xSo in 2012 artist Jessica Stout and others painted a smaller version of the original mural on the new wall. Osborn Drugs has been in Miami since 1971.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
