The little West Winds Motel is made up of two buildings. The rear building contains only guest rooms, each with a garage space for their car. The front building has no garages, but does offer the shade of a large canopy and housed the motel office. Similar stonework adorns both buildings. A U shaped driveway provided access from the Mother Road.

The West Winds Motel name is still visible on the faded sign out front. A wire meshcovering the neon name has been installed, probably to protect what remains of the neon tubing.

The motel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
