The brick Coppedge Pharmacy building was built in 1920 by the towns first doctor, O.S. Coppedge to replace his original wood frame building that was on the same site. It is one of Depew's interesting old buildings and when new housed a $4,000.00 soda fountain. Unfortunately only the walls of the building were still standing when this photo was taken in 2012, the roof was gone. The building was demolished in 2017.

x It's getting more difficult as time and weather takes its toll but you could still see part of his name in stone on the top when this photo was snapped in 2012. Since then the building has been torn down.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
