This marker honors both the Will Rogers Memorial Highway and the local Zinc and lead ore mining industry. It is located in a small triangular roadside park along a tiny stretch of the original Route 66 just as you enter Commerce from the east. Go straight west about a block on Route 66 instead of curving into Commerce on Hwy 69.
