The former Rio Siesta Motel is on the north side of Gary Blvd. a 1/4 mile or so west of the Mohawk Lodge Trading Post. There was a great neon sign here but it blew down in a storm several years ago and was moved to storage for the future Billboard Musem in Oklahoma City.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
