The Bridgeport Hill Service Station is a simple house and canopy style
gas station. It was built by Leroy Tilley in 1934 at the top of Bridgeport
Hill on a then new section of Route 66. The new road bypassed Geary and
as well a the toll bridge at Bridgeport. Eventually Tilley added a separate
building to use for mechanical work.
