This old Whiting Bros sign is located on the east end of Tucumcari on Route 66 next door to the Super 8 Motel. The gas station which was still standing in 2009 has been torn down since then, just the iconic Whiting Brothers sign was still standing in 2015 but even that was gone by 2018. For several years there was a Whiting Brothers Motel farther west on Tucumcari Blvd.
