The Montoya Cemetaey is east of the former commercial businesses on old Route 66. This small cemetery appears to cover a few acres at the most. It was founded in 1910, but the sign that commemorated that date is no longer stands over the gate.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
