The Uranium Cafe opened alongside Route 66 in 1956 with part of a 1955
Chevrolet made into a booth. It had formerly been The Golden 50's Cafe.
Over the years it has also been known as the Five Brothers Uranium Cafe
and Nana's and beginning in 2012 as Badlands Burgers.
The
sign still has the neon "Uranium Cafe" on the east side. A
small removable banner saying Home Cooking has been added on this side.
The west side of this sign says Badlands Burgers.
The
brightly colored sign on the front of the building said Badlands Burgers
when we took these photos in 2015.
