The 34 room Desert Skies Motel was formerly called Desert Skies Motor Hotel. It was built in the 1950s and is pretty hard to miss thanks to the very cool sign, The motel consists two one story buildings flanking a two story building at the back of the courtyard. An early slogan was "Travel Graciously".

I'm especially fond of this portion of the Desert Skies Motel sign. The post on the right supports the higher sign and wasn't part of the original.
