The Obie's Longbranch Saloon building is still standing across the road from the Mt. Taylor Motel ruins. Obie's is in better shape, but appeared to be closed when we went by in 2015.

xApparently they had a yard sale at some point. The windows were all boarded up when we went by in 2015.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
