The Westward Ho! Motel on the west side of Albuquerque opened in 1948. It still has it's big green Saguaro Cactus sign. The original owner was Leo Zimmerman, later owners included Ed & Constance Keely.

x A lot of the neon is gone from the sign, but some still outlines the cactus.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
