New owners are rehabing this motel, so call ahead to make sure it's open.

Originally called the David Court which opened in 1946 and became the Monterey Court in 1954. Later the name changed to the Monterey Motel. For years it operated as the Monterey Non-Smoking Motel. New owners have reverted to the Monterey Motel name. It is right on old Route 66 and just a couple of blocks from Old Town Albuquerque. This is a non-smoking motel.

x Large clean and spacious rooms make for a pleasant stay. They also offer a handy coin operated guest laundry.

x The neon sign out front lights up the night along Route 66 (Central Avenue).

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
