The Route 66 Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce opened in this former Gulf Station in 2010. A large mural inside shows 1940s Route 66 travelers between Carterville and Carthage. The visitor center is right on old Route 66, so it's easy to find.

Check out the Webb City Cruise Nights the 2nd Saturday of the summer months.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
