The Electric Drug Company started operating here in 1888. At the time the building was located on the long gone electric rail line. A wooden soda fountain that was built in 1927 was replaced with a stainless steel version in 1945.

C. S. Bradbury was a Pharmacist with the company but in 1931 he and his son-in-law formed the Bradbury Bishop Drug Company here. The location became the Bradbury Bishop Deli in 1988 which closed in early 2013.

The building is located at the intersection of N. Main and Daugherty Streets, one block north of Route 66.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
