Jensen's Point Overlook1039 E Osage St, Pacific, MO 63069Creek Rd., Pacific, MOPhone:
The view from Jensen's Point Overlook is wonderful! The climb to get there not so cool, but well worth the effort. It was named in honor of Lars Jensen, the first president of the Henry Shaw Gardenway Association. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930s. It's a great place to overlook the town, Pacific, and Route 66. GPS: 38.481812, -90.719307 It is located high on the cliff just before entering Pacific from the east. It's a bit hard to see in this photo, but the main structure is just to the right of the top of the light post
You can almost see forever form the main structure. OK, the furniture
could use a bit of rehabbing. Those interested in the Civil War will appreciate spotting this sign standing between the Jensen Point parking lot and the highway. Photo(s): 2016
