The 70+ unit (in)famous 1941 Coral Court was demolished in 1995 but the stone walls at the entrance still stand. The Oak Manor housing development occupies the site now.

One unit from the old motel has been at least partially reconstructed at the St. Louis National Museum of Transportation. That's a late 50s DeSoto pulling into the garage.

NOTE: The motel was not actually in St. Louis, rather it was in Marlborough, a suburb of St. Louis. Saying St. Louis just gave folks an easier way to locate it. The second card added the number of units available, giving a better idea of the motel's size.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
