GPS: 37.193757,-93.645775 The house served as the owners residence and the motel office. The Craftsman style house is typical of those built in the 1920s and 30s. I'm not sure when the Motor Court closed, but it was still in business in 1964.

Did
You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
The
stuccoed concrete block cabins were all built in 1950, eight of them
had attached garages. The two cabins without garages used that space
for living space instead. Several of the cabins are still standing.
The cabins appear to have been significantly modified over the years.
