Slotzky's (Formerly: The Wye Club)

The former Worden Wye Club was later Digger's Dugout and in 2023 Slotzky's Bar & Grill. It was was built by Harry Schlechte in 1927 as a nightclub featuring a variety of bands playing on the weekends. The club and service station were part of the Worden Wye complex. Russell Soulsby was known to play in a band here.

The more modern gas station on the south side of the Frontage Road next to the old Wye Club was probably built about the same time as the freeway interchange here, or shortly after that. It was still standing in 2017, but had been abandoned since at least the md-1990s. All rhat's left now is some concrete slab.
