Have you dined in a railroad caboose lately? We did and enjoyed it very much! This little restaurant opened in an old caboose 1924 and a few years later became Maid-Rite Sandwich Shop. It has been open in this spot ever since. It was placed on NRHP in 1984.

A small addition to the back of the building added more inside dining.

The sign claims that this little restaurant is home to the first drive thru window in the nation.
