The former Cozy Inn opened in the 1920s and served bus passengers traveling between Chicago and St. Louis, MO. Mario's Pizza occupied the building when we went by in 2016. The building has been pretty heavily changed over the years. The front door used to be about where the vintage gas pump stands out front in this photo.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
