The wonderfully imaginative Cow in the Corn Sculpture,is located on Sangamon near Pulaski Street, Ca you spot the "66" on the 22 foot tall, 25 foot wide sculpture is of a face of a cow between two stalks of corn. It is the work of Moses Pinkerton and the Hoffman School of Sculpture, both from Lincoln. It was installed in July 2014.

x Looking past the sculpture you can see this large mural. It is most of a block long and is located on the back of a large tire shop on the other side of the railroad tracks. That's the dome of the county courthouse peaking over the top. The mural is a collection of store fronts. Maybe what was there years ago?

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
