Route 66 & Main St., Lexington, IL On the west side of Route 66, two of the former Route 66 lanes are now a bike/walk path. There are sign both north and south of County Highway 8 on this path. Also on the SE corner of this intersection is a plaque regarding IL Route 66 in a little park.

This is a busy spot for Route 66 fans with historic sites on all four corners.

The bike/hiking path runs north and south on the west side of Mother Road.

On the NW corner is the Historic Neon "Lexington" sign.

On the NE corner is the old Fillin Station Restaurant.

On the SE corner is the former Lexington Motel and a small park with a Historic Marker.

Also on the SE corner of this intersection is a plaque regarding IL Route 66 in a little park.
