If you're traveling Route 66 with kids, you might want to check out the Halloween themed Haunted Trails. They offer miniature golf, two go-kart tracks, laser tag, batting gages and amusement rides as well as the Monsters Tomb game room.

xGo ahead and call me a coward, but I haven't been in the Monsters Tomb. Haunted Trails has been here since 1998.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
