The Twin Oaks Gas for Less station were both part of a complex that at one time included the gas station, a restaurant and several tourist cabins. Martin Drenovac owned the station from 1947 until his passing in 1961. There was also a large home where the owners lived. The cabins apparently became a motel which Drenovac called a "Rotel" meaning a motel by the road. A large verticle sign displayed the Twin Oaks Gas For Less name.

The station site is located on Chain of Rocks Rd, just west of IL 3.

xThe Gas for Less name applied to the station while Twin Oaks was the name of the the restaurant and motel. The sign was damaged by a storm in 2006 and removed but the sign post was still there in 2016. The ruins of the family homes was still there as well.

x Directly across the street is a "U" shaped gravel dive that makes me think there was a gas station there at one time.
