This church was built in 1864-65 by the Funk and Stubblefield Families. The pews were made of white pine shipped from the east coast, the pulpit and altar rail are made of walnut.

Look for the sign at the intersection just west of the Depot in Funks Grove. Follow E550 North Rd through Funk's Grove, it becomes N725 E Rd to E. 535 North Rd. (approximate GPS: 40.358945, -89.128075) turn right then about 2/10 mile to the church.

xThe church is adjacent to the Funks Grove Cemetery and the Chapel of the Templed Trees. In the early 2000s. The Church has been extensively renovated.

xEntrance to the The Temple of the Trees Chapel. The "pews" in the Chapel are simply fallen tree trunks arrange to provide seating for services. The Chapel has seating for about 200 people.

xThe Cemetery has been here since 1830.
