The 2012/13 Route 66 in Illinois IDOT survey estimates this large concrete block building is from the 1930s or 40s and may have been a gas station and garage. The structure on the left of the garage door was added sometime between 1994 and 2012.

This shows how large this building is, maybe something like 6,000 square feet when built. This is the original 1926 alignment of the Mother Road. The 1940s 4 lane ran one block to the west, right behind this property.
