This modern building replaced the old Hen House Restaurant building in 2013.

This is a kinda fuzzy screen capture from a video on a rainy day in 2012, but it does show the old Hen House Restaurant building that had already been the home of the Chenoa Family Restaurant about 10 years or so.

This 2016 photo just shows the locations of the building and signs. This was taken from alongside Route 66.

By the fall of 2023 the old Hen House sign had changed again, the "Restaurant" part was still there, but appears to have been maybe storm damaged, The gable roofed building in this photo is the office for a used car lot on the corner where the old Hen House building stood.

x The Hen House sign was still in use in 2016 (see but had been repainted to reflect the new business name. The hen is still roosting on the roof of hen house silhouette.

x There's a second sign on the corner with the Chenoa Family Restaurant name on it.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
