The 1921 Bankers Monthly, Volume 38 mentions that the C. H. C Anderson
Banking Company had recently moved into a new white stone building, which
I believe is this one. It is on the north side of the Carlinville Town
Square. It is part of the Carlinville Historic District which was added
to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
The
cornerstone of the building simply says "Erected MCMXX (1920).
