There has been a White Castle restaurant on this corner since 1939. That's a lot of sliders that have been devoured by faithful fans. While this is not the original building at this location, this the oldest operating White Castle location on Route 66.

The "Eating on the Run" Scenic Byway Marker is across the street from the White Castle. This marker talks about the White Castle, Henry's Drive-In and Bunyon's Hot Dogs. Bunyon's is where the hot dog holding Muffler Man in Atlanta came from.
