The Illinois Route 66 Heritage Project, and the city teamed up to place four Scenic Byway Markers on Ogden Avenue in Berwyn. These little markers share a wealth of local history wherever you find them.

From east to west in Berwyn they are located at:

1: Ogden Avenue and Maple Avenue
2: Ogden Avenue and Wenonah Avenue (By Berwyn’s Toys and Trains shop)
3: Ogden Avenue and Clarence Avenue
4: 3401 S. Gunderson

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
